The Local London Drinking Quest
They say London is a universe of nightlife opportunities. Last time I counted, there were an infinite number of bars in London and much like the universe, they are always expanding. To find a niche area in London these days, you basically need to go somewhere that you have only heard of because of the 2011 riots. Make sure you wear a hoody.
However, we have identified a few safe havens in areas less trod. This is the first entry in the rundown of the best drinking holes, largely situated outside of the hipster-cum-X-factor-semi-finalist parade of Dalston, the zoo of Essexians flocking in their cartloads to Shoreditch, the satellite state of post-uni Mancunians that is Brixton, the squawking hen coop of Soho and the orgy of sharking for tail in Clapham (God we really hate everywhere). Welcome to your Local London Drinking Quest.
